    Cecilia M. (Holden) Kosciuszek, 84, of 630 Old Barnstable Rd., Mashpee, formerly of Spencer, died suddenly at the home of her daughter in Shrewsbury on October 15.

    She was the wife of Walter Raymond Kosciuszek who died in 1993. She leaves four daughters: Ann M. Keenan of Wilmington, N.C., Susan F. Hyzak and her husband Jack of Charlotte, N.C., Patricia T. Landine and her husband Michael of Shrewsbury, and Sandra J. Lahart and her husband Mick of Mashpee with whom she lived; her brother, Thaddeus Holden of Webster and her sister, Genevieve Lorkiewicz of Marstons Mills; ten grandchildren: Elizabeth, Kathleen and Michael Keenan, Kevin, Daniel, and Peter Hyzak, Andrea, Megan and Laura Landine, and Samuel Lahart; nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by her brother, Henry Holden.

    Mrs. Kosciuszek was a secretary/clerk in the nursing office at Lake Street School and later in the principal's office at David Prouty Junior High School where she worked for 10 years, retiring in 1979.

    Born in Spencer, she was the daughter of John and Joseph (Jurczyk) Holden and lived in Spencer for most of her life before moving to the Cape in 2006. She graduated from David Prouty High School, and was a member of both Our Lady of the Rosary Parish in Spencer and Christ the King Parish in Mashpee. She enjoyed being with her family, playing cards, bingo, and her friends at the Senior Center. She was an avid New England Sports Fan.

    The funeral will be held Monday, Oct. 19 from the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terrace, Spencer with a Mass at 10 a.m. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 7 Church St., Spencer. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Sunday, Oct. 18 from 3 to 6 p.m. Memorial donations may be made to a charity of choice.
