Her husband of nearly 60 years, Donald I. Banfill, Sr., died in July, 2010.  She leaves a daughter, Donna M. Knott and her husband Glenn of Leicester; two sons, Donald I. Banfill, Jr., and his wife Cindi of Venice, FL, David P. Banfill and his partner Keith Santner of  Winter Haven, FL; four grandchildren, Jason G. Knott and Katie of Michigan, Jennifer “Jenny” M. Roberts and her husband Bill of Spencer, Joshua J. Knott of Spencer, and Celeste R. Banfill of Florida; three great-grandchildren, Matthew J. and Samantha C. Lackey of Spencer, and Emma R. (Tremblay) Croteau.  She was a graduate of St. Anne’s Academy in Marlborough.

Cecile was a medical secretary for Dr. Herbert Jordan of Worcester for many years.  Prior to that she worked for Webster Cable TV and Sandalwood Nursing Home in Oxford.  She and her husband Donald spent eight years in Florida after their retirement, where she volunteered at the Red Cross and as a cuddler in a hospital nursery.  Cecile was a loving, kind, caring mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother.  Her family always came first.  We all have cherished memories of Mom “Mémère”.

A special thank you from Cecile’s family to the Golden Living staff for all the care and compassion over the years.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated Saturday, May 6, 2017 at 10:00 am at Blessed Sacrament Church, 555 Pleasant St, Worcester.
