Subscription Update Obituary

     Carolyn J. (Carlson) Dumais, 82, of Auburn died Friday May 26, 2017 in the Life Care Center of Auburn surrounded by her loving family.

She was born in Worcester and raised in Auburn daughter of the late Bertil A. and Ruth (Franson) Carlson. She graduated from Auburn High School.

Carolyn had worked for over 30 years as the Administrative Coordinator to the Department Head of the Language and Literature at Worcester State College.

She was a faithful member of Bethel Lutheran Church in Auburn for many years where she was active on many committees.

Her husband of 30 years, Leo E. Dumas died 1986. She leaves her children, Sandra J. Dumais of Whitinsville, Lisa D. Johnson and her husband Richard of Auburn, Michelle V. Gilfoy and her husband Edward of Spenser; also survived by five grandchildren, five great grandchildren; two sisters, Judith McKinney of New Mexico and Norma John of Worcester and a brother, Michael DeProspo of Arizona; several nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Carolyn’s family on Thursday June 1, 2017 from 4:00-7:00 pm in the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central St, Auburn. Her funeral service will be on Friday June 2, 2017 at 10 am at Bethel Lutheran Church, 90 Bryn Mawr Avenue Auburn. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Memorial contributions may be made to Auburn Youth and Family Services, 21 Pheasant Court, Auburn, MA 01501.
