Subscription Update Obituary

Carolyn D. “Mack” (Corbett) Howard, 78, passed away peacefully on Sunday, May 24, 2026, following an illness. She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 38 years, Richard A. Howard, who passed away in 2012.

Born in Worcester, Mack was the daughter of the late John F. Corbett, Sr. and Ethel (Belk) Corbett.

She is survived by her brothers, David Corbett and Brian Corbett; her sister, Frances Rabidou and her husband, Kenneth; and generations of nieces and nephews. In recent years, she was lovingly cared for by her nephew, Ricky Corbett; his wife, Liz; and her niece, Kara Corbett. She was predeceased by her brother, John F. Corbett, Jr., and her sister, Rosemary Baker.

Mack worked for many years as a dedicated payroll supervisor at Bank of New England. She enjoyed gardening, baking, folk music, and occasional trips to the casino. She especially cherished time spent at Hampton Beach and attending folk music festivals.

A Calling Hour will be held 10 until 11AM, followed by a Funeral Service at 11AM, on Monday, June 1, 2026, in the Callahan, Fay & Caswell Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Memorial contributions may be made to: Alzheimer’s Association P.O. Box 96011, Washington, DC 20090-6011.
