Subscription Update Obituary

Carol F. (Archambeault) Whitenett, 80, of Orlando, Florida, previously Paxton and Worcester, passed away with family gathered at her side following a brief period of declining health.

Carol was born in Worcester, December 16, 1942, the daughter of George and Florence (Chabot) Archambeault.  Raised and educated in West Boylston and Worcester,  Carol worked in various positions before accepting an administration position with the Knollwood Nursing and rehabilitation center for more than 19 years before retiring.

Carol is survived by her devoted son, Francis Whitenett Jr. and his wife Kathleen (Raymond) of Orlando, Florida; two sisters, Linda Brosnihan and her husband Paul of Worcester, and Deborah Ashey and her husband Gerry in Florida; two grandchildren, Matthew and Haley;  her grand dogs, Diesel and Koa: Nieces, nephews and extended family members.   Her former husband Francis Whitenett Sr. and two brothers, George “Sonny” Archambeault Jr. and John Archambeault predeceased her.

Carol was a faith filled women’s whose family was her life.  She was a kind gentle woman the matriarch of her family who enjoyed bingo, visiting with friends at Dunkin donuts and being with and around her family.

Friends and relatives are invited to calling hours Thursday, March 3oth from 4 pm to 7 pm in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St.  Her funeral will be held Friday, March 31st from the funeral home with a procession to St Columba’s church, 18 Richards Ave, Paxton where her Mass will be celebrated at 11:30 am.   Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park.   In lieu of flowers memorial remembrances in her name can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association,  225 N. Michigan Ave. Floor 17 Chicago, IL 60601.
