Subscription Update Obituary

     Carol A. Hennigan, wife, mother, grandmother, mother-in-law, aunt, friend, died on February 1, 2016. She leaves her best friend and husband of 56 years, Joseph P. Hennigan, two daughters, Katherine A. Hennigan of Healy, Alaska, Sharon M. Hennigan of Worcester, two sons, Michael J. Hennigan and his wife Dr. Alexandra Schultes of Fitchburg, Steven P. Hennigan and his wife Michelle of Charlton, and five grandchildren, Joseph, Kate, Sean, Ryan, and Sara Hennigan. She was predeceased by a brother Donald C. Angell of Barrington, Rhode Island, sisters , Jean A. Tyson of Lebanon, NH, and Claire E. Grignon of New Ipswich, NH. She leaves several nieces and nephews.

She was born and raised in Bellows Falls, Vermont, daughter of John W. and Katherine E. (O’Connell) Angell. She graduated from Bellows Falls High School and Becker College in Worcester. After raising her family, she was employed by the Educational Association of Worcester and then worked many years as a secretary for the Massachusetts Teachers Association, retiring in 2002. She was a long-time member of St. Charles Borromeo Parish and currently belongs to Blessed Sacrament Church.

Her funeral will be held on Friday, February 5, 2016, from CALLAHAN FAY & CASWELL Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle Street, Worcester, with a Mass at 11:00 a.m. in Blessed Sacrament Church, 555 Pleasant Street in Worcester. Visiting hours will be held on Thursday, February 4, 2016, from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m at the funeral home. Interment will be private at a later date in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton, Massachusetts. Contributions may be made in her memory to Blessed Sacrament Church Memorial Fund, 555 Pleasant Street, Worcester.
