Subscription Update Obituary

Bruce E. Kowalke, 62, of Worcester, died Wednesday May 16, 2012 in his home.
He leaves his wife, Shirley E. (Ellis) Kowalke; a daughter, Dawn Bronson and her husband, Wesley, a granddaughter, Destiny Bronson all of Pennsylvania; a sister, Patricia Kingery and her husband, Vernon of Wisconsin. He was predeceased by his brother David. He was born in Baraboo, Wisconsin, a son of the late Harold and Elatha (Kreuger) Kowalke and has lived in Worcester for 20 years.
Mr. Kowalke was a U.S. Navy veteran and retired as a Chief Petty Officer after 4 years of active duty and several years of reserve duty. He was most recently a roofer and retired in March of this year. He was an active member of New Arising Christian Church in Millbury.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, May 22 at 10:00 AM in DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours in the funeral home are Monday, May 21 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to New Arising Christian Church, 138 Worcester Providence Turnpike, Millbury, MA., 01527.
