Subscription Update Obituary

Beverly D. (Ward) Garvey passed away on Tuesday, April 12, 2022 just days after her 89th birthday. She was born in in Worcester, the daughter of Peary C. and Beatrice E. (Reid) Ward and graduated from Commerce High School. Beverly was predeceased by her beloved husband of 46 years, Robert P. Garvey in 2002.

Beverly was deeply devoted to her family and will be sincerely missed by her children, Steven P. Garvey and his wife, Linda of Clinton; Sandra G. Fleek and her husband, Michael of Rutland, Michael S. Garvey and his wife, Jacquelyn of Westborough, and Kevin W. Garvey of Framingham. She also leaves her brothers, Leonard J. Ward and his wife, Lois; Kenneth P. Ward; and her sister, Lois M. Auger.

Beverly loved seeing her family grow; she cherished her eight grandchildren and six great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. She lived in Holden for more than 65 years and truly enjoyed the friendship and support from those in her small neighborhood.

Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 5 to 7 p.m. on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. on Wednesday, April 20, 2022 at St. George Church, 40 Brattle St., Worcester, where she was a founding member. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park, 217 Richards Ave., Paxton.
