Subscription Update Obituary

     Beverly A. (Gould) Cody, 69, of Brookfield, died on her wedding anniversary Saturday, February 20th in the Meadows of Leicester after an illness.

Beverly was married to her childhood sweetheart John “Jack” Cody, who died in 2000. She is survived by a son, John “Jay” Cody of Brookfield; a daughter, Christine Deeds and her husband Matthew of Rutland; 4 grandchildren and a close friend Joe Coffey.

Mrs. Cody was born in Worcester, daughter of the late James and Beatrice (Johnson) Gould and is predeceased by a brother, Skip Gould and a close friend, John Beford who died in 2008.

Beverly graduated from South high school in Worcester and worked for over 30 years at Flexcon in Spencer retiring as a sales coordinator.

She enjoyed many things throughout her lifetime, but she was the happiest when she was at the beaches in the Charlestown, RI area, sailing or spending time with her family and friends at her condo in Rhode Island.

Private burial will take place in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Cody may be made to the American Cancer Society , 30 Speen Street Framingham, MA 01701. Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Hammond St., Worcester is assisting with arrangements.
