Subscription Update Obituary

Betty M. (Fields) Kary, 81, passed away at UMass Lake Avenue after a brief illness on Monday, February 27, 2012, surrounded by her loving family.

She leaves her husband of 64 years, Raymond M. Kary, 3 children, Michael R. Kary and his wife Helen of CT, Donna M. Kary, and Raymond J. Kary and his wife Marge of Worcester, 4 grandchildren Theresa, Sheila, Stephen, and Sarah, and two great-grandchildren Chelsea and Alya, brother-in-law Alfred P. Kary and his wife Carol; and several nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a daughter Frances Kary and brothers Paul and Richard Fields.

Betty was raised in Worcester, daughter of Esther (Brown) Fields DeLuca and Frank DeLuca and was a graduate of Commerce High. Betty was a nurse’s aide at Knollwood Nursing Home and a member of St. Joan of Arc Parish. She enjoyed playing Bingo and trips to Foxwoods.

The family extends its thanks to the staff at UMass Lake Ave for their professional and compassionate care of Betty.

Calling hours will be held at Nordgren Memorial Chapel, 300 Lincoln Street, from 4-7 pm on Thursday, March 1. The funeral will be held Friday, March 2, from Nordgren Memorial Chapel with a 10:30 a.m. Mass at St. Joan of Arc. Burial will be private.

Please omit flowers; memorial donations may be made to the New Parish Center Building Fund at St. Joan of Arc Parish, 570 Lincoln St., Worcester MA 01605.
