Subscription Update Obituary

     Beth M. (Reardon) DiLiddo, R.N., B.S.N., MPH, 84, of Worcester, passed away Wednesday, December 3rd in her home. Her husband, John W. DiLiddo, died in 2004. She leaves three sons, John V. DiLiddo of Arundel, ME, Michael J. DiLiddo and his wife Marianne DiLiddo of Webster, and William A. DiLiddo of North Grosvenordale, CT; a daughter, Ann Marie Leger and her husband Joseph of Leicester; a brother, William Reardon and his wife Phyllis of Eastham; two granddaughters, Victoria and Deidre DiLiddo, both of Webster; cousins, Richard and Debbie McMenemy of Paxton and Carole Hannon of Auburn. She was predeceased by her brother, John L. Reardon.

She was born in Worcester, the daughter of John and Kathleen (McMenemy) Reardon, was graduated from South High School in 1949, St. Vincent Hospital School of Nursing in 1952, and had attended Quinsigamond Community College, Worcester State College, UMass Amherst, and Harvard School of Public Health. She worked for many years at St. Vincent Hospital, Worcester City Hospital, and Fairlawn Hospital. She also worked as a C.D.H.N. for Wyman-Gordon, Cincinnati Milicron and Tyco Madison Cable.

She was a member of St. Vincent’s Alumni, the E.R. Nurses Association and the American Association of Occupational Health Nurses. She served for five years on the City Managers Community Development Block Grant and has written several articles which were published in Supervisor Nurse and several other related magazines. She was also certified in spirometry and was an accredited occupational hearing conservationist.

Mrs. DiLiddo enjoyed oil painting, music, sewing, hiking, swimming, and horseback riding. She especially cherished the time spent with her grandchildren. She was a lifelong member of Our Lady of the Angels Church, where she served as a Eucharistic Minister and for Parsons Hill and Fairlawn Hospital.

The funeral is Saturday, December 6th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, with a Mass at 10:00 A.M. in Our Lady of the Angels Church, 1222 Main Street. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Friday, December 5th from 4:00 until 7:00 P.M. in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, contributions in her memory may be made to Our Lady of the Angels Church Maintenance Fund, 1222 Main Street 01603.
