Subscription Update Obituary

     Barbara R. (LeBeau) Carbonneau, 84 of Worcester, formerly of Spencer, passed away in her home on Saturday, July 22, 2017.

Barbara was born in Worcester, a daughter to the late Julian and Bunetta “Rita” (Chirchigno) LeBeau.  She worked alongside her sister as the manager of Bunetta’s for many years.  Barbara later was a volunteer caretaker at Notre Dame Long-term Care Center. She was a faithful member of Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church where she loved playing bingo.  She was a member as well as a charter member of the Eagles Club in Worcester.  She loved scratch tickets, was known as a social butterfly. Most of all she loved her family and was a devoted wife and mother.

Barbara is survived by her husband, Omer E. Carbonneau; her son, Steven P. Derosier of Worcester; six daughters, Linda Sciammacco of Worcester, Cynthia Pastor and her husband Jimmy of Connecticut, Darlene Dalbec of Worcester, Lori Burbo and her husband James of Florida, Barbara A. Burbo and her husband Torry Prospere of Worcester and Angela Manseau of Worcester; three brothers, George “Dickie LeBeau of Webster, Frank “Butch” LeBeau of Florida and John LeBeau of Worcester; 15 grandchildren, 22 great grandchildren, many nieces and nephews.  She is predeceased by a son, Armand Derosier; a daughter, Christine Budzinski; a brother, Julius “Sonny” LeBeau; two sisters, Beverly Ann Maple and Marie Jordan.

A period of calling hours will be held on Tuesday, July 25, 2017 from 9-10:30 with her funeral service to begin at 10:30 am in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester.  Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.  In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to: Notre Dame Long-term Care Center Alzheimer’s Unit, 559 Plantation St., Worcester, MA. 01605.
