Subscription Update Obituary

     Barbara J. Gagne, 75, of Worcester died Sunday, November 2nd in St. Vincent Hospital. Her husband, Ronald L. Gagne died in 1994. She leaves two sons, Wayne Knight and his wife, Lisa, of Auburn, and Daniel Gagne and his wife, Lynn, of Webster; three daughters, Paula Aviles and her husband, Carlos, of Webster, Michele Gagne of Webster, and Denise Figueroa and her husband, Gilbert, of Charlton; two brothers, John Grandmaison of Worcester and Ron Grandmaison of North Conway, NH; two sisters, Shirley Fitton and Karen Grandmaison both of Worcester; 13 grandchildren, Nicholas, Alex, Trent, Jonathan, Pedro, Jeffery, Jenahquil, Zenyah, Jeremy, Emily, Chelsea, Ethan and Abigal; 10 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. She was predeceased by a brother, Leo Grandmaison; two sisters, Jean Collette and Ann McLaughlin and a grandson, Daniel Gagne Jr.

She was born in Worcester daughter of John and Eva (Lavoie) Grandmaison and worked for many years as a crossing guard. Barbara was a member of Blessed Sacrament Church. She loved playing bingo, spending time with her family and riding around the city on her little red scooter.

Her funeral is Friday, November 7th with a service at 11:00 AM in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Thursday, November 6th from 5:00 until 7:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Denise Figueroa, 101 AF Putnam Road, Charlton, MA 01507.
