Barbara A. (Smeagle) Baniukiewicz, 91, formerly of Worcester died April 8, 2026 in Cape Coral, Fl., where she resided with Patricia and Paul Gill. Her husband, Eugene F. Baniukiewicz died in 1986. Born in Worcester Barbara was the daughter of Frank and Annie E. (Norton) Smeagle. She was predeceased by her mother and father and by her brother, Frank Smeagle, Jr.

Barbara is survived by nieces and nephews, Patricia and Paul Gill of Cape Coral, Fl., Ted Baniukiewicz and his Wife, Linda of Worcester; Janice Stickles of Sandwich, MA., Karen Stidsen of Stafford, VA, Michael Baniukiewicz of Charlton, MA, Karen Whitten of Winter Haven, Fl., John Darrah of Worcester; Robert Darrah of Brookfield, MA., and cousins, William and Joanne Babin of Sutton, Ma, and Margaret and Wilfred Lamb of Leominster, MA.

Barbara was a graduate of the former High School of Commerce, Worcester, and worked as an Administrative Supervisor for 20 years with the Montgomery Maryland County Government. She retired many years ago. Barbara was a member of the former Ascension Church, Worcester and was a volunteer for Pernet Family Health, Worcester and the Massachusetts Association for the Blind.

Barbara’s funeral will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 in Alfred Roy & Sons – Henry Funeral Service, 33 Ward Street, Worcester. Interment will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A calling hour will be held on Wednesday April 22, 2026 from 10:00 AM until the time of the service in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association, 320 Nevada St, #201, Newton, MA 02460
