Subscription Update Obituary

     Barbara A. (Bright) Allain, 78, of Putnam, and formerly of Cricklewood Dr., Leicester, died Wednesday, March 3, 2021 at Davis Place in Danielson, Ct. after a long illness.

She leaves her husband of 59 years, Leonard J. Allain; her sons, Kevin M. Allain and his wife Lisa of Millbury, and Jeffrey S. Allain and his wife Elizabeth of Auburn; her daughters, Sharon R. Allain of Worcester and Dawna M. Salkiewicz and her husband Joseph of No.Grosvenordale, CT; 7 grandchildren, Rhianna Curotto, Lyndsey O’Connor, Anthony and Julia Allain, Paris Esposito and Connor Allain and Alaina Salkiewicz; 3 great grandchildren, Jayden O’Connor, Gavin Curotto and Everlee Mejia.

She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Moses and Arlene (Barslow) Bright and later graduated from Grafton High School and attended Worcester Junior College. Barbara worked in the accounts receivable department at Becker College in Leicester before retiring in 2009. She was a member of the Leicester Women’s Club.

Her funeral will be held on Saturday, March 6th. from the MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester with a funeral Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Pius X Church, 1153 Main St., Leicester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours with Covid 19 precautions, masks and social distancing will be held on Friday from 5 to 7 p.m. in the funeral home.
