Subscription Update Obituary

Arthur L. St. Martin, 76, of Hamilton St., a former Worcester fire fighter, died yesterday in St. Vincent Hospital. He retired from the Worcester Fire Department in 1961 after 31 years’ service, including four years as chauffeur for the late Herbert F. Travers, former fire Chief. He was born in Worcester, son of Felix and Bertha (Farladou) St. Martin. He was an Army vetran of World War I. Mr. St. Martin was a charter member of Grafton Hill Post, American Legion, and a member of the Worcester Firemen’s Relief Association, the Massachusetts Firemen’s Relief Association, and the Greendale Retired Men’s Club. He leaves his widow, Florence E. (Piette) St. Martin; a daughter, Jeannine M., wife of Norman A. Bouffard of Worcester; a brother, Henry St. Martin of Saugus; a sister, Rose, wife of Robert DeVoe of Morningdale section of Boylston; three grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews. The funeral will be Saturday from Morin Funeral Home, 293 Grafton St., with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Margaret Mary’s Chuch, 75 Alvarado Ave. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours at the funeral home are 7 to 9 p.m. today and 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. tomorrow. Members of Grafton Hill Post will meet at 8 p.m. tomorrow at the funeral home to conduct their ritual.
