Subscription Update Obituary

Armand L. (“Pilou” and “Willie”) Lavallee, Sr. of Henshaw Street, Rochdale (Leicester), MA died on Saturday, December 23, 2023. He leaves his wife, Sandra L. Lavallee, his son who cared for him the last 2 months of his life, Michael J. Lavallee and his wife Marie-Anne, his granddaughter Nicole M. Lavallee of Holden, MA, his son Armand L. Lavallee, Jr. and his daughter Lori A. Lavallee and her husband, Ross, granddaughters Alyssa and Kayla, his brother, Robert Lavallee (Carol Stewart) of Spencer, MA, and several nieces and nephews.  He also leaves his stepdaughter Karen Haight Pozzi, and stepson Dale Haight, and their families.

Mr. Lavallee was born in Winooski, Vermont, he was the son of Joseph and Esther (Brisson) Lavallee.  He worked for several area appliance repair companies including Coughlins, Reliable Appliance and UMass Community Healthlink. Mr. Lavallee served his country in the United States Air National Guard (1953), Air Force (1954) and Army (1958) receiving an Honorable Discharge in 1961. Mr. Lavallee enjoyed Saturday breakfast with his son, Michael at local diners, country music, playing the guitar and singing with his siblings, flea markets, and Nascar.

Burial will be private at the convenience of the family. The Lavallee family would like to thank the staff at UMass Memorial – 6th Floor for their care and compassion during the last few days of Armand’s life.
