Subscription Update Obituary

Arlene P. (Dee) Castle, 91, passed away at home surrounded by her daughters on Thursday, November 23.

Her husband of 54 years, Richard J. Castle died in 2016. She leaves two daughters, Elizabeth Castle and Patricia Roberts both of Worcester; two grandsons, John Roberts, Jr. and Kristopher Roberts; a great-grand-daughter, Audrey Roberts and nieces and nephews. Five siblings, Pauline Janulewicz, Phyllis Mitti, John Dee, Maryann Johnson and Shirley Arnowski predeceased her. She was born in Malden, daughter of John and Aina (Soder) Dee and graduated from Commerce High School.

Arlene worked at the Thom McAnn Company and in the payroll department at Wyman Gordon Company for many years, in her retirement she worked part-time as a home health aide. Arlene enjoyed baking, reading and was an active member of her church for many years.

The family will receive guests at Emanuel Lutheran Church, 200 Greenwood Street on Friday, December 1 at 10:30am before a Funeral Service at 11:00am in the Church. A burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to her church, a place she so loved.
