Subscription Update Obituary

     Anna (Dello Stritto) Brignola, 91, of Worcester died peacefully surrounded by her loving family on Tuesday December 11, 2018. Her husband of 53 years Giuseppe Brignola predeceased her. She is survived by two sons, Michele and his wife Antonietta of Worcester, Giovanni and his wife Barbara Jean of Rochdale, her daughter Maria Hamilton and her husband James Sr. of Worcester. She also leaves 4 sisters, Antonietta Caputo of Worcester, Michelina, Elena, and Yolanda all of Castel Morrone, Italy. Anna was the proud and loving grandmother to, Joseph, Pompeo, Mary Anne, Joseph John, Anne Marie, Linda Ann, James Jr. Kerry and Amy. She enjoyed her great grandchildren, Samuel, Lucianna, and Casey. Anna was predeceased by her grandson Joseph John.

Anna was born in Castel Morrone, Provencia di Caserta Italy daughter of the late Giovanni and Maria (Sgueglia) Dello Stritto and came to the United States in 1971. Anna worked for the Dapol Plastics company for many years and also worked in the Housekeeping Department at the Memorial Hospital from 1977 to 1992 when she retired. Anna was a longtime member of the Church of Our Lady of Mt. Carmel-St Ann. She enjoyed cooking, baking, working in the garden and hunting for her favorite mushrooms. Although her most treasured times were when she was with her family especially her Grandchildren. Anna’s family would like to thank the staff at the Parsons Hill Rehabilitation Health Care Center, their loving and devoted staff called her Mamma Bella. A big thank you to all of them.

Anna’s funeral service will be held on Tuesday December 18, at 10:30AM in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL 370 Plantation St. Calling hours will be held on Monday December 17, 2018 from 4PM to 7PM. Entombment will be at Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
