Subscription Update Obituary

     Anita (Kaladjian) Bodurian of Holden, passed away peacefully at home on Tuesday, August 16, 2016. Born in Cairo, Egypt, Anita was the daughter of Hanipig and Mannig (Kechegian) Kaladjian and lived over 60 years in Holden. At the age of six, Anita and her family migrated to the United States and resided in Worcester where she attended public schools.

Anita worked as a mortgage secretary at Peoples Bank and Mechanics Savings Bank in Worcester retiring in 1981. She was a faithful member of the Armenian Church of Our Savior in Worcester and the Savings Bank Women’s Association. She and her husband Malcolm were summer residents at Dennisport on Cape Cod for 43 years. Anita enjoyed working in her yard and was known for her flower and vegetable gardens. She loved animals, spending time at the beach with her family and friends, and will be remembered for her kind and fun-loving nature.

Her beloved husband of 67 years, Malcolm Bodurian died in 2014. She leaves a niece, Cynthia Bowman her husband, Peter and their daughter Olivia all of Melrose; a nephew, Harry Ostlund of Holden; two sister-in-laws, Ellen Bodurian of East Falmouth and Helen Ostlund of Holden. Along with her parents and husband, Anita also joins her brother-in-law, Edward Bodurian who predeceased her in June.

Anita’s family will be receiving guests from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. on Wednesday, August 24, at the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main St., Holden, followed by a funeral service honoring her life at 11:30 a.m. The Rev Aved Terzian will be officiating. Interment will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton.
