Subscription Update Obituary

Angelina M. (Schiavone) Prue, 94 of Newport News Virginia passed away suddenly on Tuesday, July 11, 2023, in her home surrounded by her loving family.

Angelina was born in Worcester MA, the daughter of the late Dominic and Philomena (Belculfine) Schiavone. She lived and worked most of her life in West Boylston until she retired in 2007 and moved to Virginia to live with her daughter and two of her grandchildren.

Angelina had a bit of adventurous side to her, wanting to become a racecar driver in her earlier years. She was able to travel some to the Philippines, Florida, and Hawaii and loved being in the plane.

She is survived by her daughter Donna M. (Prue) Villarino whom she lived with, her son John B. Prue of Boston Four grandchildren Kristal J. Villarino and Justin C. Villarino of Newport News Virginia, Jennifer (Prue) Gonzalez of Worcester, Nicole (Prue) Norton of Ware and four great grandchildren whom she loved dearly. She is predeceased by two brothers, Joseph and Natale Schiavone and one sister Rose M. (Schiavone) Richie.

Family and Friends will gather Friday, July 28 at 10:00am at Fay Brothers Life Celebration Home before  her funeral Mass at 11AM in Our Lady of Good Counsel Church, 111 Worcester St., West Boylston. Burial will follow at Worcester County Memorial Park. In lieu of flowers, kindly make a donation in memory of Angie to a charity of one’s choice.
