Subscription Update Obituary

Andrew J. Stanikmas, 36, of Worcester, died Monday, March 20th in UMass Memorial Hospital University Campus. He is survived by his three brothers, Timothy R. Coutsonikas of Stuyvesant, NY, Norman B. Stanikmas, III and his wife, Laura of Bellingham and Peter M. Stanikmas of Worcester; his sister, Melissa M. Greeson and her husband, Matthew of Webster; and four nephews and nieces, Makayla and Jakob Greeson and Tyler and Liliana Stanikmas.

Andrew was born in Worcester, the son of Norman B. Stanikmas, Jr. and Arleen M. (Westgate) Stanikmas. He was a graduate of the Massachusetts Hospital School in Canton. Andrew was a member of Christ the King Parish and active with the Seven Hills Foundation Aspire Program and the Venture Program in Worcester. Andrew was also active in human rights committees and the Team Hoyt Foundation. He loved wrestling, bowling, football. participating in road races, watching cooking shows and spending time with his nephews and nieces. Andrew will be missed by all who knew and loved him.

His funeral will be held on Thursday, March 30th at 11:00 a.m. in Christ the King Church, 1152 Pleasant Street, Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A visitation will be held on the day of the funeral in O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue from 9:00 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. In lieu of flowers please make memorial contributions to the Spina Bifida Association of Greater New England, 209 W Central Street, Suite 132, Natick, MA 01760.
