Subscription Update Obituary

    Althea M. (Morris) Trottier, 71, of Ormond Beach, Fla., formerly of 21 McKinley Road, Worcester, died Sunday, July 18, 2010, in her Florida home.

    She leaves her husband of 50 years, Paul P. Trottier; two sons, Gary Trottier and his wife Pamela of Round Rock, Texas, Brian Trottier and his wife Nancy of Leicester, and two grandchildren, Ryan and Samantha Trottier of Round Rock. Her sister, Elaine A. Austin, died in 1990.

    Althea was born in Boston, daughter of Laurence Morris and Anne (Hurley) Morris Pearson. She graduated from South Boston High School. She moved to Worcester in 1956 and retired to Ormond Beach ten years ago.

    Althea worked many years at Sprague Electric Co. in Worcester, before retiring. Previously, she worked in the offices of the H.H. Brown and Melville shoe companies in Worcester.

    Althea loved baseball. She was secretary of the Connie Mack Little League for many years and was a devoted Red Sox fan.

    Calling hours are Thursday, July 22 from 5 to 8 p.m. at the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester. The funeral will be Friday, July 23 from the funeral home with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Bernard's Church, 228 Lincoln St., Worcester. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.

    In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jimmy Fund, 10 Brookline Place West, Sixth Floor, Brookline, MA 02445.
