Allen Provencal, 78, passed away on October 30, 2025 peacefully in his home with family by his side.

Allen was preceded in death by his mother and father Agnes (Fitzpatrick) and Andrew (Duke) Provencal and brother Edward (Rusty) Provencal.

Also he has a sister Colleen (Maynard) Fitzgerald and James Provencal and sister-in-law Suzanne Provencal. Allen had many friends and family but one that stood out was his nephew Joseph O’Clair who helped take care of Allen in his final years.

Allen served in the U.S. Navy then as a Boston police officer while going to school at Northeastern University earning a degree in criminology. He then became a federal officer for INS (Immigration Naturalization Service) protecting his family and country in Boston while earning his bachelor’s degree at Holy Cross College until 1988, then moved to Washington D.C. until he retired from public service.

Allen was married to Sandra Kozdra in April 1969. They raised four children; Kelly Miele, Shayne Fitzgerald, Robin Farwell (Kenneth) and Andrew Provencal (Allen and Sandra’s only biological child) until Sandra passed in January 1978. Allen raised all four children by himself until he met his second wife.

Allen met his second wife Sandra Butler and married Sandra on October 1982. Sandra had four children; Ronald Butler (Lisa Graham), Donald Butler (Christine), Wendy Corbin (Daniel) and Robin Robinson-Fetrow and Kimberly Abdow. Allen was so happy and overjoyed when his grandchildren Edwardallen and Brandon Robinson were born and entered his life and also brought him his great grandchildren.

Allen and Sandra lived a wonderful life together traveling with friends and family. Allen looked forward to going to the beach every year at the Outer Banks. He loved playing golf and watching his New England sports teams especially the Red Sox and Patriots.

After the passing of Sandra in April 2022, Allen led a quiet life with their dog Loki.
