Subscription Update Obituary

     Albert S. Wozniak, 89, of Havana Road and formerly of Spencer, died Monday, May 13, 2013 in St. Vincent Hospital after being stricken ill.
He leaves his wife of 61 years, Josephine B. (Koss) Wozniak; two sons, Michael A. Wozniak and his wife Christine of Cottage Grove, MN and Gary J. Wozniak and his wife Kathleen of Spencer; two daughters, Linda M. Senseney and her husband Gary of Vernon, CT and Karen E. Lizotte of Worcester; a sister, Henrietta Birks of Meriden, CT; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by brothers, Frank, Antoni, Michael & Joseph Wozniak and a sister, Bernice Slasinski.
Mr. Wozniak was born in Westfield, MA, the son of Stanley and Kathryn (Kulaga) Wozniak. He was a printer at Heffernan Press in Worcester for 26 years, retiring in 1987. He served his country during WWII in the United States Marine Corps. He was a member of the Gaudette-Kirk American Legion Post 138 in Spencer. Over the years he was awarded several Master Printer Awards. He enjoyed gardening and crossword puzzles. He was an avid golfer and bowler.
The funeral will be held Thursday, May 16 from MORIN-MORRISON FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester with a Mass at 11:00 AM in St. Aloysius-St. Jude Church, 489 Pleasant St., Leicester. Burial with military honors will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A calling hour will precede the funeral from 9:45-10:45 AM. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Joslin Diabetes Center, One Joslin Place, Boston, MA 02215.
