Albert R. Serra, 80, of Worcester, passed away on Monday, June 29, 2021 at Memorial Hospital in Worcester.

Albert is survived by his daughter, Melissa S. Serra; a grandson, Steven A. Serra, both of Worcester; a sister Lynne Cook of Lunenburg; nieces, nephews, cousins, as well as other family members and friends. He was born in Worcester, son of the late, Albert F. Serra and Rose M. (Cutrone) LaBonte and has lived here all his life. Albert served his nation proudly in the United States Air Force.

Albert was a machinist for many years at Norton Company before retiring in the early 2000’s. He enjoyed golfing, playing cards, and was a die-hard New England Patriots fan.

Calling Hours for Albert will be Thursday, July 1, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. in MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation Street, Worcester. His Funeral will be on Friday, July 2, starting at the funeral home at 10 a.m., then departing in procession at 10:40 a.m. for an 11 a.m. Funeral Mass at Our Lady of Loreto Church, 33 Massasoit Road, Worcester. Interment will be held privately.
