Subscription Update Obituary

     Alan J. Charbonneau, Sr., 73, of Worcester died Wednesday July 5, 2017 surrounded by his loving family.

He was born and raised in Worcester son of the late Leo and V. Beverly (Drury) Charbonneau. He graduated from Commerce High School and continued his education graduating from New England School of Accounting.

He served his country proudly with the United States Navy during the Vietnam War.

Alan had worked for over 40 years as the comptroller at Industrial Polymer and Chemical Inc. in Shrewsbury until he retired in 2006.

Alan loved golf and was a fifty-year member of the Green Hill Golf Course in Worcester. He was an avid Holy Cross Sports Fan. He also enjoyed working in his yard, playing tennis with his wife and just loved being out in the fresh air and sunshine.

He leaves his wife and best friend of 50 years, Paula A. (Brunell) Charbonneau; his children Lynn M. Charbonneau of Worcester, Alan J. Charbonneau. Jr., of Worcester Lori L. Beriau and her husband Christopher of Boynton Beach, Florida; a brother, Richard Charbonneau and his wife Maureen Sullivan Charbonneau of The Villages in Florida; also survived by seven nieces, three nephews and several cousins.

Relatives and friends are invited to visit with Alan’s family on Monday, July 10, 2017 from 9:00-10:15 am in the BRITTON-WALLACE FUNERAL HOME, 91 Central Street, Auburn. A funeral Mass celebrating his life will follow at 11:00 am in Saint John’s Church, 40 Temple Street, Worcester. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to the St. John’s Church Food for the Poor Center, 44 Temple St, Worcester, MA 01604.
