Z. Evelyn (Swett) Wills, 96, of Auburn, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 1, 2025 at Brookdale Eddy Pond. She was predeceased by her beloved husband, David B. “Dave” Wills, in 2019, along with her siblings: A. Richard “Dick” Howe, Roswell Swett, Stanley Swett, Ralph Sweet, and Phyllis (Swett) Hammond. Evelyn leaves behind many cherished nieces and nephews.

Evelyn was born in Leominster, daughter of Roswell and Avis E. (Howe) Swett, and was raised and educated in Leominster and Worcester. After meeting her beloved Dave while working at the Norton Company, the pair settled in Auburn to begin their life together.

Evelyn had an affinity for animals and nature, and especially loved cats. She enjoyed participating in the many activities and outings with Brookdale, and enjoyed going shopping.

In lieu of flowers, and to honor Evelyn’s love of animals, please consider a memorial donation to your local animal shelter/rescue, or to a charity of your choice.

A graveside service will be held privately for her family, and she’ll be laid to rest alongside Dave. The Britton-Wallace Funeral Home is honored to be assisting with arrangements.
