Subscription Update Obituary

   Woodrow "Woody" Levesque, 85, of North Brookfield, died peacefully in his sleep, Monday, in his home.

   He is survived by his longtime friend and companion, Mae Sally Rusher of North Brookfield, and a son Lindsay Levesque, of New Bedford. He also leaves 2 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren, and a brother-in-law, Conrad Millette and his wife Ellie. His wife, Julia (Millette) Levesque, and a brother and a sister predecease him.

   He was born in Woonsocket, RI, he was the son of the late Arthur and Alice (Vincent) Levesque.

   A proud veteran, he was a member of the U.S. Army, Photo Intelligence. He served in the South Pacific from 1942 to 1945.

   Mr. Levesque was a skilled painter and paperhanger; he worked as a shop foreman of the paint department at Clark University for many years. He was also a foreman for the Plantation Painting Co. for many years. Woody also was the manager of the Winbrook Acres trailer park in Auburn.

   He was a member of the American Legion and the Millerville Men's club in Blackstone, and the Greendale Men's Club, and a member of North American Martyrs Church in Auburn. He was an avid golfer for 72 years. He was a member of Bedrock C.C. in Rutland. He enjoyed bowling, ballroom dancing, gospel music and the Opera. He will be missed by his friends.

   Relatives and friends are invited to attend visiting hours from 4-7 PM, Wednesday in the Britton-Wallace Funeral Home, 91 Central St, Auburn. His funeral will be held from the funeral home with a Mass Celebrated Thursday at 10 AM in North American Martyrs Church. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park.
