Subscription Update Obituary

Willis C. Kittredge, 81, died at UMass Memorial Medical Center on Friday, March 13, 2026, surrounded by those closest to him.

Willy was born in Worcester, MA, on September 16, 1944, son of the late Charles and Lois (Stokes) Kittredge.  He was raised in Spencer, MA, and was a graduate of David Prouty High School Class of 1962.  Growing up, Willy spent many years working on the family farm.  He retired as a factory worker from Arland Tool & Manufacturing in Southbridge, MA.  He was also a truck driver for Howlett Lumber for many years.  He enjoyed woodworking, golf, and bowling and spending time with family and friends and helping his neighbors. 

Willy’s wife of 18 years, Anne Marie (Norris) Kittredge, died May 21, 2005.  They were married on September 13, 1986.  From previous marriages he  is survived by his daughter, Laurie A. Parker; of Ocklawaha, FL; his sons Willis C. Kittredge, Jr., of Spokane, WA, and Scott Kittredge of Auburn, MA.  He is also survived by 3 grandchildren, 4 great-grandchildren, and 3 step-great grandchildren; his brother, Wally Kittredge of Spencer, MA;  and his sisters Kitty Gliniecki or Ware, MA, and Karla Huard of Barre, MA and several nieces and nephews.  Willy also leaves his faithful companion of the last 8 years Lois Fijol. 

Private funeral services were held for Willy. In lieu of flowers donations to the Dana Farber Cancer Institute, 450 Brookline Avenue, Boston, MA 02215 in Willy’s name would be greatly appreciated.
