Subscription Update Obituary

    William J. Ferguson, 82, of Worcester, died Saturday, January 30th. His wife, Joan B. (Adams) Ferguson, died in 2008.

    He leaves behind John W. Spagnola and his wife Cheryl of Athol, Nicholas C. Spagnola of Worcester, Kathleen P. Bizzotto and her husband Larry, and Colleen M. Eskola and her husband Shaun, all of Leominster. He also leaves two sisters, Nancy M. McKeon of Los Angeles, CA and Elizabeth L. Murphy of Worcester; eleven grandchildren; six great grandchildren. He was predeceased by a brother, Donald P. Ferguson and a granddaughter, Nicole Bizzotto.

    He was born in Worcester, the son of Sidney and Delia (Cashman) Ferguson and graduated from the former High School of Commerce and New England School of Accounting. Mr. Ferguson was an accounting supervisor at New England Envelope and Dresser Industries before retiring. He was a World War II U.S. Navy veteran and served upon the USS Paul Jones. Bill enjoyed golfing and reading, and was a Civil War buff. He was very proud of the City of Worcester.

    The funeral is Tuesday, February 2nd from O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, with a Mass at 11:00 A.M. in Christ the King Church, 1052 Pleasant Street. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Monday, February 1st from 5:00 until 8:00 P.M. in the funeral home.
