Subscription Update Obituary

William D. Tuson, 88, Retired Worcester Fire Lieutenant, of Dover, NH, and formerly of Worcester, passed away on Thursday, March 19, 2026, surrounded by his loving family.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 67 years, Beverly A. (Minns) Tuson; their three children, Theresa Johnson and her husband, Timothy of Hampton, NH, Mary Clark and her husband, Geoffrey of Durham, NH, and William Tuson and his wife, Kate of Leicester; three brothers, Paul Tuson of Auburn, Joseph Tuson of Newton and Gary Tuson and his wife, Linda of Florida; six grandchildren, Bryan, Elyse, Olivia, Juliet , Shannon and Nicole; and three great-grandchildren, Faye, Reid and Leif; and nieces and nephews.

Bill was predeceased by his sister, Ann Alexander and two brothers, Richard and Francis Tuson.

He was born in Worcester, son of the late Frank & Hazel (Wakefield) Tuson. He attended Commerce High School and graduated from Boys Trade School. Bill was a Worcester Fire Fighter, retiring as Lieutenant in 1998, after 31 years of service to the City. Bill also proudly served his county in the United States Airforce. He was a longtime member of the Worcester Lodge of Elks. After retiring, Bill worked as a school bus driver for the Worcester Public School, and it was a job that Bill thoroughly enjoyed. Among his pastimes, he enjoyed golfing, travelling, and spending summers in Kennebunk Port, Maine. Above all, he cherished his time with his loving family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren.

A Funeral Service will be held at 10:30AM on Monday, March 23, in the Callahan, Fay & Caswell Funeral Home, 61 Myrtle St., Worcester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling Hours will be held on Sunday, March 22, from 3 until 6PM, in the funeral home. Memorial contributions may be made to: American Heart Association, P.O. Box 840692, Dallas, TX 75284-0692.
