Subscription Update Obituary

    Wanda A. (Mycko) Hidenfelter, 83, of Worcester, died Saturday, Sept. 18, 2010.

    Her husband of 53 years, Robert P. Hidenfelter, died in 2004. She leaves four children, Dennis R. and his wife Marty Hidenfelter, Kenneth R. and his wife Robin Hidenfelter, all of Worcester, Michael R. and his wife Katie Hidenfelter of Oregon and Nancy W. and her husband John Young of Sutton; two sisters, Rita LaMountain of Fla. and Mary Peters of Ariz., a brother, Jerry Mycko of Fla.; a special friend, Edward Pelchat; 11 grandchildren and 12 great-grandchildren. Her daughter, Patricia Partovi, predeceased her.

    She was born in Worcester and lived in Worcester all her life. She graduated from Commerce High School.

    Mrs. Hidenfelter was a waitress many years ago at the Highlander and Millbrook diners in Worcester.

    She enjoyed gardening, crossword puzzles and attending the Summit Elder Care Program. She loved to laugh and enjoyed music and dancing.

    Calling hours are Wednesday, September 22 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. at the Athy Memorial Home, 111 Lancaster St., Worcester. A funeral service will follow in the funeral home at 1 p.m. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
