Subscription Update Obituary

    Walter J. Balunis was a US Army WWII Veteran at Normandy Beach and a Purple Heart recepient.  Born in Lithuania, he grew up in Forest City, PA where he worked in the coal mines.  Walter joined the Army to fight for our country, when he was in his 30's.  He hit the beachfront of the Normandy Invasion in the Infintry Division and made it home.  Walter moved to Massachusetts, worked at Morgan Construction Co. in Worcester.   A simple man, enjoyed the small things in life:  birds chirping, flowers growing and thunderstorms.  He was proud of his heritage and proud of his country.
