Wallace J. “Skippy” Lefebvre, Sr., 71, of Worcester, died Tuesday, January 9th in his home. He is survived by his loving wife, best friend, companion and caregiver of 41 years, Marguerite C. (Howard) Lefebvre; 6 sons, Wallace J. Lefebvre, Jr. and his wife Kimberley of Fort Myers, FL, Raymond V. Lefebvre and his wife Lorie or Charlton, Duane F. Laythe, Lee R. Laythe and his wife Gloria, Brian F. Laythe and his wife Dawn and Bruce A. Laythe, all of Worcester; 5 daughters, Laurie A. wife of Christopher Lugo of Auburn, Darlene M. wife of Daniel Ramous of Leominster, Cherlynn J. Zervos of Indiana, Kimberley M. wife of Edward Lee of Bradenton, FL and Nannette J. wife of Kevin Southworth of Worcester; 4 brothers, Arthur, Robert and William Lambert all of Worcester and Donald O’Keefe and his wife Doris of Worcester; 35 grandchildren; several great grandchildren, nephews, nieces and cousins and 2 close friends, Deborah Parker of Whitinsville and Deb the paper doll paper girl.
He was born in Worcester, the son of Clara Lefebvre. Mr. Lefebvre worked as a press operator for Worcester Manufacturers for 25 years before retiring. He was an U.S. Army Veteran, serving in the Korean Conflict. Mr. Lefebvre was a member of St. Peter’s Church and the American Legion and was on the Ionic Avenue Boys Club Boxing Team. He was an avid Red Sox, Patriots and Celtics fan. The family of Mr. Lefebvre would like to thank Pam Avallone and the other VNA hospice nurses for their outstanding care throughout his illness.
The funeral is Friday, January 12th from O’CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Peter’s Church, 929 Main Street. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Thursday, January 11th from 5:00 PM until 9:00 PM in the funeral home.
