Subscription Update Obituary

    Virginia M. (Stenmark) White, 87, of Worcester, died Friday, July 16th in Shrewsbury Nursing Home, Shrewsbury. Her husband of 63 years, John J. White, Sr. died in 2005.

    She leaves a son, John J. White, Jr. and his wife Paula of Hampton, NH; two daughters, Virginia E. Garry of Worcester and Jeri Taronas and her husband Mark of Paxton; eight grandchildren; and eleven great grandchildren.

    She was born in Worcester, the daughter of Gillis and Marion (Wood) Stenmark and graduated from the former High School of Commerce.

     Mrs. White was a purchasing agent at Worcester City Hall for 10 years, retiring in 1985. She was a member of Our Lady of the Rosary Church and enjoyed sewing, painting, and crafts.

    The funeral is Tuesday, July 20th from O'CONNOR BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 592 Park Avenue, with a Mass at 10:00 A.M. in Our Lady of the Rosary Church, 25 Fales Street. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Monday, July 19th, from 4:00 until 7:00 P.M. in the funeral home.
