Violet E. (Arpin) Chaput 85, formerly of Howe Village, died Monday, Dec. 31, 2012 at The Meadows of Leicester.
     She was the wife of Ernest T. Chaput who died in 1979. She leaves 4 sons: David Chaput of E. Brookfield, Brad Chaput and his wife Linda of Fairbanks, AK, Brien Chaput and his wife Jacqueline of Worcester and Donald Chaput of Lewisville, TX; her daughter, Terri Wilkin of E. Brookfield; her daughter in law, Nancy Chaput of Porterville, CA and son in law, Rick Leasot of Charlton; several grand and great grandchildren; nieces and nephews. She is predeceased by a daughter, Carole Leasot in 2008 and her son, Bruce Chaput in 2010, beloved “Pa & Ma” McBrien and brother, Francis Arpin.
     Born in Putnam, CT, she was the daughter of Napoleon and Myrtle (Marcy) Arpin and later graduated from Plainfield High School in CT, class of 1945. She was a member of the Daughters of the American Revolution-Bigelow Chapter in Worcester. She enjoyed playing all kinds of card games, crocheting and reading. She loved the ocean and travelling.
     Funeral services will be held on Saturday, Jan. 5 at 10 a.m in the J.HENRI MORIN & SON FUNERAL HOME, 23 Maple Terr., Spencer. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton.
