Subscription Update Obituary

     Veto C. Gildauckas, 93, of Worcester, died Saturday, February 4, 2012 in Millbury Healthcare Center. His wife of 52 years, Francine M. (Burokas) Gildauckas died in 2004.

     He leaves a son, William V. Gildauskas of Worcester; two step daughters, Marion F. DeAlba of Enfield, Ct., and Francine N. Smith of Worcester; a sister, Ruth Andrzejczyk of Oxford; 7 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren, 1 great great-grandchild and several nephews and nieces. He was also predeceased by six brothers. He was born in Worcester, a son of Charles and Ona (Gaiyauskas) Gildauskas and has lived in Worcester all his life.

     Mr. Gildauckas was a pattern maker and worked for Acme Pattern Works Co., he continued as a pattern maker for Morgan Construction Co., and worked there for many years before he retired. He was a member of St. John Church and was a member of the former St. Casimir Church. He was a U.S. Army veteran and served with the Panama Canal Dept., earning the rank of Corporal.

     The funeral will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2012 from DIRSA-MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St., with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. John Church, 40 Temple St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours in the funeral home are Monday, February 6, 2012 from 6:00 to 8:00 PM.
