Tionenji Mwainda “Tita” Tonga, 10 of Clinton, passed away peacefully on Friday, July 13, 2012 at home with her beloved family by her side after a long battle with Leukemia.
Tita is survived by her parents, Fortune and Jane (Mtowa) Tonga of Clinton; a brother, Mainza Daliso Tonga and a sister, Langa Mwezi Tonga both of Clinton.
Tita was born in Worcester, MA and was a fourth grade honor student at Clinton Middle School. She had the greatest sense of humor and strong will power. She was always positive and influenced many in the short life she lived. She had the heart of a lion and loved being outdoors.
A funeral service for Tita will be held on Wednesday, July 18, 2012 at
11:00 a.m. in the MERCADANTE FUNERAL HOME & CHAPEL, 370 Plantation St., Worcester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. A period of calling hours will be held on Wednesday, July 18th from 10:00 a.m. – 11:00 a.m. in the funeral home prior to her funeral service.
