Subscription Update Obituary

   Thomas Romano, 76, passed away Monday, March 2nd at St. Vincent Hospital in Worcester, after being stricken ill at home.

   He leaves his beloved wife of 53 years, Mary T. (Cuzzi) Romano; two sons: Angelo T. Romano and his wife Janet and Anthony V. Romano and his wife Donna, both of Millbury; three grandchildren: Thomas, Kristina and Karly; nephews and nieces. He graduated from the former Commerce High School and Massachusetts Radio School.

   Thomas was a network toll foreman with New England Telephone Co. where he worked for 36 years, retiring in 1991. He was an Army Veteran of the Korean War. He was a member of the New England Pioneers Club. He was a restorer of antique radios and televisions and was a member of the New England Antique Radio Club. Thomas enjoyed spending time with his family especially watching his children and grandchildren participate in sports and activities. He was an avid Red Sox and NASCAR fan. He was also an animal lover and enjoyed the time he spent with his dog, Ginger.

   His funeral will be held Friday, March 6th from the Mulhane Home for Funerals, 45 Main St. in Millbury, with a Mass at 10 a.m. in St. Brigid Church, 59 Main St. in Millbury. Calling hours are 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday, March 5th in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Animal Rescue League, 139 Holden Street, Worcester, MA 01606.
