Subscription Update Obituary

    Thomas P. Sutkaitis, 61, of Brookfield Road, died Tuesday, February 16, 2010 at home after an illness.

    He leaves his wife of 35 years, Susan L. (Thunstrom) Sutkaitis; two sons, Joseph P. Sutkaitis and his wife Kristin of Ware and Jason T. Sutkaitis of Worcester; two sisters, Diane Ryan of Douglas and Franny Davison of Pensacola, FL; three grandchildren, Zachary and Dylan Sutkaitis of Ware and Jason Sutkaitis of Worcester; a brother-in-law, Earl Thunstrom and his wife Judy of Henderson, NV; a sister-in-law, Joanne Jamros and her husband Ron of Henderson, NV; four nephews, Brian, Jeffrey, Michael and Brian; a niece, Heather; and a grandniece, Pandorah.

    Thomas was born in Worcester the son of Joseph P. and Jenny E. (Chibas) Sutkaitis and lived many years in Worcester before moving to Charlton in 1976. He graduated from Burncoat High School. He was a Sergeant in the U.S. Air Force with the 528th Bomb Squadron during the Vietnam War. He later retired from the Air Force Reserves. He owned and operated "Two J's" Sub Shop in Worcester. Previously, he worked at Mass Electric and Hammond Plastics. Tom loved spending time with his grandchildren and family.

    Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours on Sunday, February 21st, from 2 to 5 p.m. in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. A funeral service for Mr. Sutkaitis will be held at 11 a.m. on Monday, February 22nd in the funeral home. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Care Alternatives Hospice, 181 Cedar Hill Street, Marlborough, MA 01752.
