Thomas M Donohue, age 71, passed away peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, August 26, 2025. He put up a valiant 20-month fight against pancreatic cancer.
Born in Worcester, he was the son of Timothy Donohue and Emma (Berthiaume) Donohue. Tom is survived by his loving wife of 51 years, Patricia (Lundell) Donohue, and daughters Kristina Tokatli of East Brookfield and Kelley Donohue of Spencer, MA. He also leaves a brother, Timothy Donohue, and his wife, Jittanun of Thailand. He was predeceased by a sister, Jeannette Donohue Dackson. He also leaves behind 3 grandchildren – Marcus Powell, Elaina Tokatli, and Sophia Tokatli, who affectionately called him “Buppa”. Also left behind are many nieces, nephews, godchildren, and close relatives and friends. Tom will be dearly missed by many.
Tom graduated from Leicester High School and from Central New England College with a degree in advanced engineering. Pat and Tom married at Greendale Peoples Church in Worcester on August 24, 1974. They celebrated their 51st anniversary 2 days before his passing. Tom had a long career in tool & die manufacturing, holding positions such as supervisor, production development engineer, and product engineer. He retired as a manufacturing manager from Pressmet in Worcester.
Tom was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. He loved fishing in many places, especially with his longtime friends Bob and Larry on Cape Cod. He took all his grandchildren fishing for the first time, giving them all very special memories. He enjoyed traveling to the White Mountains in New Hampshire to camp and spend time relaxing with his family. Many memories were made there, and they will be cherished by his family forever. Tom was also an avid New England sports enthusiast, with a special love for the New England Patriots. One of his most proud accomplishments, besides his family, was the fact that he and Pat built their home in Spencer by themselves over 45 years ago. It is a wonderful family home filled with loving memories.
Per Tom’s request, private services will be held at the family’s convenience.
