Subscription Update Obituary

    Thomas J. Pashoian, 87, passed away Tuesday, September 22 after valiantly fighting an illness while a resident at the Rose Monahan Hospice Home in Worcester.

    Tom is survived by his wife of 62 years, Grace (Norris) Pashoian; his sisters, Sarah Yagjian and Lucy Sivazlian both of Worcester; four nephews and four nieces; nine great-nephews and eight great-nieces. He was born in Worcester son of Garabed and Armaven (Aslanian) Pashoian. Tom was an Army Veteran of WWII serving with Company F/399th Infantry of the 100th Division and saw action in the Asiatic-Pacific Theatre.

    Prior to the war, Tom worked as a machinist for Charles T. Gates Company and an inspector for Olson Manufacturing both in Worcester. After serving his county, Tom worked for the U.S. Postal Service as a mail handler until October 1984 when he retired. He was a member of the Main South American Legion Post #341 and the Worcester Lodge of Elks#243. He will be missed by all who knew him.

    A Funeral will be held Friday, September 25 from CALLAHAN & FAY BROTHERS FUNERAL HOME, 61 Myrtle St. with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Charles Borromeo Church, 341 June St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Visiting Hours are Thursday, September 24, from 5 to 8 P.M. at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to the Rose Monahan Hospice Home, c/o the VNA Care Network and Hospice, 5 Federal St., Danvers, 01923 or St. Charles Borromeo Church, 341 June St., Worcester, 01062.
