Subscription Update Obituary

     Thomas F. Morris, 87, passed away on Saturday, January 18, 2014. He was born at home in Worcester, one of seven children to Joseph B. and Nora T. (Qualey) Morris. He attended Blessed Sacrament Elementary School and St. Peter’s High School where excelled in baseball, basketball and football. He was later inducted into St. Peter’s Hall of Fame.

     After his service in the Army during World War II, Tommy married his high school sweetheart, Helen A. Donohue who passed away 10 years ago. They had five children, Celine, Maureen, Julianne, Tom and Eileen. He is also survived by a sister, Theresa Feeley; a brother-in-law, Father John Donohue; ten grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.

     After his retirement from the telephone company he enjoyed golfing, bowling, and fishing. He loved surf casting off the beaches in Wells, Maine. One of his greatest joys was having the whole family out to Hubbardston for cookouts with his sisters, brothers, nephews, nieces, children and grandchildren

     Relatives and friends are invited to attend calling hours from 4 to 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan 22, in the Miles Funeral Home, 1158 Main Street, Holden. Funeral services for Tommy are private. Burial will take place at Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation, NE Chapter/ Baystate, 60 Walnut Street, Wellesley Hill, MA 02481.
