Subscription Update Obituary

Thomas Francis Greenwich, 73, of Worcester, died Friday, April 15, in St. Francis Rehabilitation and Nursing Center, 101 Plantation St. He is survived by his wife of forty-five years, Elvira “Cookie” (Leone) Greenwich. He also leaves his two sons, Anthony A. Greenwich and his wife, Natalie of Millbury and Mark D. Greenwich of Worcester; a sister, Marilyn Gerardi and her husband, Leonard of Mattapoisett, MA; a sister-in-law, Gloria Greenwich of Oxford; five grandchildren, Alicia, Anthony Jr., Matthew, Joseph and Jonathan, all of Millbury; and family and friends. He was predeceased by his brother John P. Greenwich of Oxford. Thomas was born in Worcester, a son of John P. and Anna (Allen) Greenwich.
Thomas was a quality control inspector for General Motors Company, twenty-nine years prior to retiring. He served two terms in the US Army. Thomas graduated from St. John’s High School and attended Worcester State College. He was a member of St. John Church. An avid sports fan, he enjoyed watching all of the New England sport teams. He also enjoyed classic movies , war films and deep sea fishing.
The funeral will be held on Tuesday, April 19, from DIRSA- MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 298 Grafton St., Worcester with a Mass at 10:00 a.m. in St. John Church, 40 Temple St. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton, MA. Calling hours in the funeral home will be on Monday, April 18, from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m.
