Subscription Update Obituary

     Theresa (Moran) Toda, 91, of Worcester, died on Sunday, May 15th 2011 in her home with her loving daughter by her side.

     Her husband of 60 years, Leo P. Toda, died in 2003. She is survived by a son, Peter Toda of Worcester; a daughter, Loretta Marschner and her husband Guenther of Worcester with whom she lived with for the past 4 years; a daughter-in-law, Christine Toda of Auburn; a brother, Harry Moran of Dighton, MA; 4 grandchildren; 2 great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces. Mrs. Toda was born in Bridgeport, CT, daughter of the late Spiro and Elena (Gaci) Moran and is predeceased by two brothers: John and Steven Moran and a sister, Domenica Babu.

     Theresa worked for the General Electric Telechron Company for 15 years before her retirement. She was a former member of Saint John the Baptist Romanian Orthodox Church Women’s Society in Woonsocket, RI.

     A funeral service will be held on Wednesday, May 18th at 10 AM in Saint Nicholas Orthodox Church 34 Gold St., Shrewsbury. A visitation period will be held from 9:30 to 10 AM in the church before the funeral service. Burial will be in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Saint Nicholas Orthodox Church, 34 Gold Street, Shrewsbury, MA 01545. Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Hammond St., Worcester is directing arrangements.
