    Theresa M. “Terry” (Gadbois) Zak, 49, of Leicester passed away on Tuesday, October 19, 2010 in Golden Living Center-The Hermitage.
Theresa is survived by her mother, Alice L. (Galipeau) Carey and her husband Ronald of Leicester; her father, Joseph W. Gadbois and his wife Eleanor of Brookfield; three sisters, Susan Welch and her husband James of Worcester, Lorie Gadbois of Worcester and Deborah Carey of Naples, FL; three step-brothers, Paul Carey and his wife Tina of Millbury and Ernest Carey and his wife Jennifer of Worcester and Ronald Carey, Jr. of Naples, FL; a step-sister, Tammey Carey of Worcester; many nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles. She is predeceased by two sisters, Karon Marie and Anita Louise Gadbois.

Theresa was born in Worcester and later moved to Leicester where she attended and graduated from Leicester High School. She entered into the United States Army and served eleven years as a medic during Desert Storm in Kuwait. Upon returning home she worked at St. Vincent Hospital as a Phlebotomist for sixteen years. She also worked at the United States Post Office as a Dock Supervisor for two years before retiring. She was a member of Mary, Queen of the Rosary Church in Spencer. She enjoyed making candles and candy, canning; any type of sport including cross country skiing, archery, surfing, hiking, canoeing and swimming. She also enjoyed being outdoors. There wasn’t any activity she wouldn’t have loved. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.

Theresa’s Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday, October 27th at 10 a.m. in Mary, Queen of the Rosary Church, 7 Church Street, Spencer. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. In honor of Theresa, memorial contributions may be made to: VNA Care Network & Hospice, Development Office, 5 Federal St., Danvers, MA 01923 or American Cancer Society , 350 Plantation St., Worcester, MA. 01605.
