Subscription Update Obituary

     Theresa M. (Guay) Sherman, 83, of Virginia Drive in the Rochdale section of Leicester died Tuesday, March 4 in her home after an illness.

     Her husband Albert W. Sherman died in 1999. She leaves a son Albert W. Sherman of Tuscumbia, AL, two daughters Carol Hauver and her husband Russell of Spencer and Paula M. Mozynski and her husband Paul of Paxton, 4 grandchildren Mark, Jennifer, Russell, III & Corey, a great-grandson Russell, IV, a brother Paul Guay of Fall River and her fiancé Robert Wright of Leicester. She was pre-deceased by her sister Maria Nunley.

     Mrs. Sherman was born in Boston, daughter of Romeo and Margaret (Sommers) Guay. She was a Branch Manager at Guarantee Bank and Trust for many years before retiring in 1992. She was a member of St. Pius X Church. She was active with the Leicester Senior Citizens Club. She was a member of the Leicester Council on Aging and a past Treasurer of the Worcester Chapter AARP. She was on a bowling league at Bayberry Bowling in Spencer. She enjoyed traveling, cross word puzzles and crafts.

     The Funeral will be held Saturday, March 8 from MORIN FUNERAL HOME, 1131 Main St., Leicester with a Mass at 10:00 AM in St. Pius X Church, 1153 Main St., Leicester. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are Friday from 4:00-7:00 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital , 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis, Tenn. 38105 or to the Second Chance Animal Shelter, P.O. Box 136, East Brookfield, MA 01515.
