Subscription Update Obituary

    Theresa (L'Heureux) Daunais, 89, of Worcester died on Friday, September 3rd, 2010 in the Umass Memorial Medical Center – University Campus after an illness.

    Her husband, Harold Daunais died in 1985. She is survived by three sons, Richard J. Daunais of Boston, John J. Daunais of Worcester and Daniel A. Daunais of Winthrop; two daughters, Patricia A. Daunais of Worcester and Kathleeen A. Vinson of Ocala, FL; 16 grandchildren; 14 great grandchildren and many nephews and nieces.

    Mrs. Daunais was born in Worcester daughter of the late Esdras and Evelina (Duquette) L'Heureux and is predeceased by a daughter, Susan M. Ritter who died in 2002; 3 brothers, Raymond L'Heureux, Lawrence L'Heureux and Armand L'Heureux; 3 sisters, Estelle Boucher, Alma Poulin and Sylvia Robidoux.

    Theresa lived in Worcester for most of her life and graduated from the former Holy Family School. She worked at the counter in the former Messier's Diner for many years and was a member of St. Peter's Church and the 1050 Club.

    The funeral will be held on Wednesday, September 8th from the Alfred Roy & Sons Funeral Home, 12 Hammond St. with a Mass at 10 AM in Saint Peter's Church, 931 Main St. Burial will follow in Worcester County Memorial Park, Paxton. Calling hours are on Tuesday, September 7th from 5 to 8 PM in the funeral home. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Saint Peter's Church, 929 Main Street, Worcester, MA 01610.
