Therese C. (Howard) McCann, 65, passed March 27, 2009 after suffering a stroke several days ago. Her husband of 26 years, Walter T. McCann passed in 1991. She is survived by her two children, Michael P. and his wife Karen of Worcester, Brian J. of North Grafton, two grandchildren, Patrick and Lauren McCann, her longtime companion, Paul Gilpatrick and his children, two cousins, Claudette Rice of Sutton, Louis Emond in NC and many close friends. She was predeceased by her parents, Robert E. and Therese H. (Emond) Howard and her step father Francis Burbank.
Mrs. McCann was born September 7, 1943 in Worcester, raised there graduating from St. Peter's Central Catholic High School in 1961 and has lived in North Grafton since 1973. Terry worked 21 years as an administrative assistant in Human Resources at St. Vincent Hospital and was still working at the time of her passing. She previously worked at The Sure Oil Co. and The Community Treatment Center both in Worcester. She was a parishioner of St. Mary's Church in North Grafton where she taught religious education and volunteered at many functions and activities.
Terry was a dedicated, loving grandmother to her two grandchildren whom she adored as they did their Grammy. She was a caring lady who gave of herself to many such as organizing recognition dinners for St. Vincent employees and the annual blood drive at her parish church. Terry was also devoted to her catholic faith attending Mass daily in the chapel of Our Lady of Providence at St. Vincent Hospital and she enjoyed traveling with family, friends and many fellow employees.

Calling hours will be Tuesday March 31st from 4 to 8 pm in THE RONEY FUNERAL HOME, 152 Worcester St. North Grafton. All are invited to the celebration of her Funeral Mass Wednesday April 1st at 10 am in St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 17 Waterville St. North Grafton. Everyone attending Wednesday is respectfully asked to go directly to St. Mary's Church. She will then be laid to rest with her husband in Worcester County Memorial Park in Paxton.
